At the ACI APAC & MID Regional Human Resources Committee meeting held in New Delhi, India, a significant leadership transition was announced, poised to steer the committee towards enhanced HR practices across airports in the Asia-Pacific and Middle East regions. The committee has appointed Mr. Tim, Yuanhung Ting, the Director of Human Resources at Taoyuan International Airport Corporation, as the new Chair, effective from April 2025. Mr. Ting brings a wealth of experience, dedication, and a robust background in airport operations and human resources management.
Mr. Ting, who has been an active member of the committee since 2021, is well-regarded for his 15-year career in the aviation industry. His extensive experience includes nine years in Airport Master Planning and over five years in Human Resources Management. In his current role at Taoyuan International Airport Corporation, he has been instrumental in organizational transformation, focusing on people engagement, talent development, successor planning, and tackling digitalization challenges. Notably, Mr. Ting has been recognized as an ACI-ICAO International Airport Professional (IAP) since 2016.
Alongside Mr. Ting, the committee has appointed Ms. Hwai Kar Goh as the first Vice Chair. Ms. Goh, who serves as the Senior Vice President of People Services & Rewards at Changi Airport Group, has been with the organization for more than 20 years. Her experience spans roles within the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore and the Ministry of Transport. Ms. Goh oversees critical HR functions, including Human Resource Business Partnerships, Talent Acquisition, Rewards, People Operations, People Digital Transformation, as well as Employer Branding and Workplace Transformation & Facilitation. Prior to her current role, she was involved in managing airport commercial and operations at Singapore Changi Airport.
The leadership team is further strengthened by the appointment of Mr. Nasser Alqahtani as the Second Vice Chair. Mr. Alqahtani, the General Manager of Human Capital at Cluster2 Airports Company, is responsible for leading HR strategy across 22 international and domestic airports in Saudi Arabia. With over 17 years of experience, he is recognized for aligning HR transformations with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and advancing the aviation sector. His expertise encompasses HR automation, workforce planning, talent management, and employee well-being.
In their new roles, the leadership team is committed to promoting performance excellence among airport members by advocating for effective people management and development practices. They aim to provide a regional platform that facilitates collaboration, information exchange, and the sharing of best practices among airport members. ACI APAC & MID supports its members by offering resources, tools, and best practices designed to nurture a positive workplace culture and strengthen employee engagement. These initiatives include training programs, workshops, and networking opportunities tailored to connect HR professionals across the region.
