In a landmark announcement, Talent Corporation Malaysia Berhad (TalentCorp), under the Ministry of Human Resources (KESUMA), has unveiled the LIFE AT WORK Awards 2025 (LAWA 2025). This marks the 10th anniversary of the prestigious awards, which are dedicated to acknowledging leaders in workplace innovation, inclusivity, and sustainability.

The 2025 edition of the awards introduces a fresh theme, ‘Driving Inclusivity, Powering Sustainability’, and expands its categories to recognize the contributions of schools, universities, and changemakers in Malaysia. This strategic shift underscores TalentCorp’s commitment to fostering an inclusive workforce that is prepared for the future.

A Fireside Chat session titled ‘Balancing Productivity in a Tech Driven World’ was a highlight of the event. Moderated by Datuk Jake Abdullah, a TalentCorp 50 Fellow, the session featured insights from prominent figures such as Thomas Mathew, Group Chief Executive Officer of TalentCorp, Adrita Datta, Head of Human Resources Malaysia & Singapore Cluster at British American Tobacco, and Wai Yu See Toh, Chief Executive Officer of Central Force International.

Chairperson of TalentCorp’s Board of Directors, YB Ms Wong Shu Qi, emphasized the importance of the new award categories during her opening remarks. ‘LAWA 2025 aims to drive change by not only recognizing sustainability and inclusivity efforts within the industry but also by extending recognition to schools and universities. To this end, LAWA 2025 introduces two new awards for academic institutions, highlighting their role in shaping students into future talents,’ she stated.

Mr. Thomas Mather, TalentCorp’s Group Chief Executive Officer, reflected on the journey since the awards were introduced in 2013. ‘Our goal was clear—to support employers in embracing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) as part of their evolution. At TalentCorp, we encourage firms and organizations to embrace work-life practices in the workplace. By adopting these principles, we believe they can enhance employee well-being, improve work quality, boost productivity, and foster a positive workplace culture that supports diversity and inclusion,’ he highlighted.

LAWA 2025 will honor employers in 13 categories, with 33 awards slated for distribution. The categories include:
