Ina Bajwa Joins Landmark Group as Group Head of Talent and Engagement

Ina Bajwa, a seasoned leader in human resources, has transitioned to a pivotal role at Landmark Group as the group head of talent and engagement. This move follows an impressive eleven-year tenure at Tata Group, where she held various leadership positions, significantly impacting the company’s HR landscape.

Bajwa’s career began in 2004 with Essar, where she served as deputy manager of human resources in Mumbai. Her career trajectory took her to HSBC in 2007, where she advanced from associate vice president of organizational development and change to vice president of talent management and strategic resourcing. By 2011, Bajwa had ascended to the position of vice president of HR for the transaction banking group and private bank.

In 2013, Bajwa joined the Boston Consulting Group as the lead HR business partner. Her strategic acumen continued to evolve at Degreed, where she contributed as a client product council member in 2019. Her journey with Tata Group began shortly after, marking a significant phase of her career.

During her time at Tata Communications, Bajwa played a critical role in various capacities. Initially, she served as the director and global head of HR-products, digital technology, and corporate functions. Her responsibilities expanded in 2019 when she became the senior director and global head of learning, organization, and leadership development. Bajwa was instrumental in driving global learning strategies and fostering a culture of continuous learning.

By mid-2021, Bajwa had risen to senior director and global head of HR for CSG, as well as the global head of L&D and future of work. Her strategic vision led to another promotion, making her VP and global head of HR, technology and digital, and global head of L&D at Tata Communications.

In November 2023, Bajwa took on the role of chief human resources officer at 1mg, a mid-stage startup acquired by Tata Group. She led a team of 70 HR professionals to align the people strategy with business objectives for the e-pharmacy and diagnostics sectors.

Bajwa’s academic background from the KJ Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research in Mumbai has contributed to her strategic foresight and participative leadership style. Her latest assignment at Landmark Group will see her based in Dubai, where she will focus on developing an integrated talent strategy for the retail group across multiple global territories.

In her new role, Bajwa aims to link talent development to business outcomes, ensuring robust CEO and executive succession plans for all brands and territory CEOs. Her efforts will support the growth of engagement and performance at Landmark Group, a leading global retail and hospitality group based in the UAE.
